Metal roof decking meets at the ridge with a maximum two-inch gap supported by a continuous six-by-six-inch, twelve-gauge bent plate provided by the metal deck manufacturer and butt-welded together at splices. The metal deck is secured with one-half-inch diameter puddle welds spaced at a maximum of twelve inches on center.
