Deflection track reinforcing at jambs features a slotted track with 0.22-inch by 5-inch drift slots in the web spaced at one foot vertically. Screws placed in the track web slots require a minimum 0.5-inch diameter head or must be installed through a washer with a minimum 0.5-inch outside diameter to accommodate movement. A 1-inch edge dimension is maintained from the track flange to the slot layout.
