A steel embed plate measuring 1/2 inch by 12 inches by 1 foot 0 inches is cast flush into a concrete wall and anchored with four 1/2-inch diameter by 6-inch welded headed studs. Additional reinforcement consisting of two number 4 bars at 48 inches each way for a total of four bars is placed around the embedment with a 2-inch clearance. The elevator rail and connection to the embed plate are provided by others.
