Concrete slab transitions feature a maximum two-inch depression or step. Number four nosing reinforcement bars are placed at the top and bottom of the step. A transition slope of one in six is maintained between different slab elevations. Slab thickness is indicated by 't' with a transition length of one and a half times 't'.
