A six-inch minimum concrete pony wall is supported on a concrete slab and a concrete-filled metal deck. The wall incorporates vertical and horizontal reinforcing with number five bars at twelve inches each way, reaching a maximum height of four feet six inches as specified per architectural drawings. At the slab condition, continuous number five reinforcing dowels anchor the wall. At the metal deck condition, number five dowels at six feet long are spaced at twelve inches on center, extended into the low flutes of the deck with hooks running parallel to the deck where possible.
