An L6x6x3/8 long leg vertical angle, six inches long, provides reinforcement for a joist or beam indicated on the structural plans. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the angle on three sides to the supporting member, maintaining a maximum one-half inch clearance at the joist. An additional three-sixteenths inch fillet weld connects the vertical leg of the angle to the web of the framing member.
