Concrete over metal deck bears on a wide flange beam with a maximum twenty-four inch stud spacing and a twelve inch maximum spacing at ends. Shear studs are provided along the top flange with additional studs at ends to meet the number required in brackets. Puddle welds are used where no stud is provided. A typical one and one-half inch dimension applies unless otherwise noted, measured from the centerline of the girder or face of the column to the centerline of symmetry.
