A structural steel shape is embedded within a reinforced concrete column and wall assembly. The encased steel section features three-quarter-inch diameter by three-and-one-half-inch shear studs welded to its flanges and web. The surrounding concrete enclosure is reinforced with twelve number fourteen vertical bars and additional typical number five vertical reinforcement.
