A vertical sag rod connects to a structural girt using an L4x3x1/2 angle bracket welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. The sag rod passes through the horizontal leg of the angle and is secured with nuts and washers. The vertical leg of the angle is welded to the web of a wide flange girt or the face of a hollow structural section girt. Two elevation and section views illustrate the connection details for both framing types.
