A structural steel column rests on a steel base plate with a thickness of one and one-half inches, bearing over a layer of non-shrink grout. Anchor bolts extend through oversized holes in the base plate and are secured with heavy-duty washers with standard-sized holes. The contractor must provide and coordinate the means for leveling and elevation control.
