A structural steel base plate anchors to concrete using ASTM F1554 all-thread rods in two alternative anchorage configurations. Bolt Case I utilizes a standard embedded heavy hex nut with two threads spoiling below the nut. Bolt Case II incorporates a plate washer with a tack-welded locking nut and heavy hex nut for enhanced embedment anchorage. A two-inch thick layer of high-strength non-metallic non-shrink grout is detailed beneath the base plate with leveling nuts typically positioned above the grout. Plate washers with standard holes sit atop the base plate under heavy hex nuts, with oversized holes permitted solely in the base plate.
