An epoxy-coated soldier beam extends downward into the subgrade to support an existing slope with a finished shotcrete face. The embedment depth "D" and exposed height "H" are sized per the soldier beam schedule. A typical freeboard detail is located at the top of the shoring wall adjacent to the existing slope.
