An angle brace connects to a structural end beam using a half-inch gusset plate welded with quarter-inch fillet welds. The gusset plate attaches to the beam flange via six seven-eighths-inch diameter bolts on each leg. The angle bracing is tied back to the beam web with a bolted connection featuring a minimum three-inch spacing and one-inch typical edge distances. A work point is established at the center line of the angle intersecting the support framing.
