Cold-formed steel metal studs are laterally braced using a continuous strap and diagonal wire connection. A 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch by 12 gauge angle or strap spans across the studs and is secured to each stud flange with one number 2 screw. A diagonal wire tie connects back to the strap assembly to provide lateral stability to the wall framing.
