A bent plate measuring 3/8 inch by 4 inches by 1 foot 0 inches connects a W6 or C6 beam to a supporting structural member sized per plan. Two bolts secure the web of the beam to the bent plate. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld is applied on three sides typically at the connection interface.
