A kicker brace connects to a structural steel beam supporting a concrete slab over metal floor deck using a three-eighths-inch by five-inch square plate welded at each brace. The connection features a one-quarter-inch fillet weld securing the plate to the beam and a one-quarter-inch fillet weld securing the brace to the plate, with the weld annotated by field-weld and all-around symbols. An HSA anchor is embedded in the concrete fill above the beam flange.
