A rigid steel beam-to-column moment connection frames into the column flange. The assembly features Grade 50 continuity plates matching the beam flange thickness, welded top and bottom with complete joint penetration welds on three sides. Additional continuity plates are required on each side if dimension X exceeds three inches. Flange and web connections are detailed per schedule with field-welded and bolted configurations aligned with the column centerline.
