A hollow structural section beam bears against a rammed earth wall and supports a roof deck via a continuous ledger angle. The structural steel HSS beam is secured to the rammed earth wall using continuous angle clips fastened with three-quarter-inch diameter by six-inch embedded threaded rods set in epoxy at twenty-four inches on center. A L3x3x1/4 continuous angle clip welded with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld secures the top of the HSS beam to the wall embedment. A L3x3x3/16 continuous ledger angle supports the roof deck and is welded to the HSS beam with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld.
