Concrete footings bear on engineered structural fill extending down to native soils per the plan and soils report, with a width equal to the depth. A free-draining granular base and vapor barrier sit beneath the concrete slab, adjacent to the foundation stem wall. Backfill is placed against the exterior, with the finish grade sloped away from the structure and maintaining a six-inch minimum clearance.
