A C12 stair stringer frames into an intermediate landing constructed with metal deck and fill, supported by an HSS column and an HSS 6x4 member on the far side. A three-eighths-inch stiffener plate welds to the channel web with a quarter-inch fillet weld on three sides. Three-eighths-inch continuity plates attach to the top and bottom flanges with three-eighths-inch fillet welds. A sill plate connects the assembly with quarter-inch welds on near and far sides.
