This structural section details the interface between an initial concrete pour and an infill pour at a crane blockout. Reinforcement consists of number four bars at eight inches on center, top and bottom, each way. Mechanical couplers are installed at the joint interface as typical formsavers. A two-by-four shear key, six inches long at twenty-four inches on center, is embedded in the joint. A minimum two-foot lap splice is provided within the middle third of the opening.
