A concrete equipment pad bears on a structural slab with a forty-eight-inch minimum thickened slab at AC unit anchorage areas. The assembly incorporates styrofoam fill with a minimum compressive strength equal to twenty pounds per square inch beneath the raised pad. Number four reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches on center each way are centered in the slab. Number four dowels spaced at twelve inches on center are tied into the curbs and structural slab.
