An open web steel joist bears on a steel column topped with a steel cap plate, adjacent to a concrete tilt-up wall panel. A continuous deck bearing angle is embedded in the concrete panel to support the metal roof deck. The joist bearing end is secured with two three-quarter inch diameter erection bolts. A stabilizer plate measuring six inches by three-quarters of an inch by zero feet six inches with a thirteen-sixteenths inch diameter hole connects to the joist, with a note specifying not to weld bottom chords to the stabilizer plate unless noted otherwise. Three-sixteenths inch fillet welds are specified throughout the connection assembly.
