This structural connection detail shows a steel beam framing into a steel column with bolted web plates and welded top and bottom flanges. The beam web connects using R1 bolts through a T1 web plate, while the flanges are welded to the column with designated weld sizes. Type 1 stiffener plates are provided near side and far side unless noted otherwise on design drawings. Type 2 stiffener plates are used when beams occur on both sides of the column and are welded on three sides.
