A steel column base plate assembly is centered on a footing pocket as shown. A Grade 50 base plate with a thickness of 2 1/2 inches is anchored using thirteen 2-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 36 anchor bolts equipped with 3/4-inch by 4-inch by 0'-4" washers and double nuts. A gusset plate per the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer is connected to the column flange, with instructions to omit at similar conditions. The steel column is centered on the base plate.
