A reinforced concrete light pole foundation features a diameter of two feet with a depth "H" varying from four feet six inches to eight feet based on pole height. Vertical reinforcement consists of four number seven bars or eight number five bars tied with number three bars at twelve inches on center, supplemented by three number three ties within the top five inches of the base. Anchor bolts and leveling nuts are set per the manufacturer's specifications with a one-inch minimum clearance under the light pole plate. The exposed concrete surface includes a three-quarter-inch chamfer and is sloped down away from the plate. An electrical conduit enters the pier below grade, and the pole base rests in natural undisturbed soil or approved compacted fill.
