A continuous one-quarter-inch bent plate secures the exterior framing and cladding to the top flange of a steel beam at the parapet. A metal deck bears on the steel beam with a two-inch minimum bearing length. The connection is welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds at twelve-inch centers as indicated by the weld symbols. The parapet height is per the architectural drawings, and the exterior framing and attachments are bidder-designed.
