A cold-formed steel stud wall bears directly on a concrete slab over metal deck, with the stud centerline aligned with the supporting steel beam below. A continuous 68-mil plate fastens the metal deck with half-inch puddle welds at sixteen inches on center. The steel joist seat is flush with the metal deck, utilizing a bent plate and shear plate connection with full depth configuration. Sureboard sheathing is applied per plan with edge screwing along the exterior face of the stud.
