A column sized per plan bears on a three-quarter-inch thick plate dimensioned to the beam depth plus six inches by the beam flange width. The plate connects to the beam per plan using two three-quarter-inch diameter ASTM A325 bolts at three-inch gauge on each side, secured with a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. Internal column webs receive one-quarter-inch stiffener plates welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides. An additional brace is detailed per drawing thirteen slash S five point five one.
