Two wide-flange beams meet at a miter cut with a center intersection line, featuring complete joint penetration welds at the top and bottom flanges with sizes meeting AISC minimums or specified as tf/4. The web is joined with a complete penetration weld that is shown dashed and specified to be ground smooth. A full-height stiffener plate is provided at the web, sized at half the flange thickness or a quarter-inch minimum on each side, or using a beam connection plate sized per schedule. Slopes and work points vary and are coordinated per beam elevations and plans, with beams shown sloping up and opposite hand required for beams sloping down.
