A wide-flange steel column bears on a wide-flange beam through a three-quarter-inch by twelve-inch by one-foot-eight-inch base plate secured by four seven-eighth-inch diameter A325X bolts. Three-quarter-inch thick stiffener plates are welded to each side of the framing beam with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds and offset as required per plan. Additional stiffener plates are provided at the inframing beam and secured with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. All member sizes are coordinated per the structural plan and schedule.
