An inverted V-brace connection utilizes a gusset plate welded to the underside of a steel beam to receive two buckling-restrained braces with pin connections provided by others. The beam web is reinforced with 12mm web stiffeners on each side at the brace locations, and design workpoints are spaced 500 millimeters apart. Gusset plate thickness and welds are sized per the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer tables.
