A WT structural shape is coped and connected to a wide flange steel beam with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld. A one-half inch minimum radius is provided at the cope cut. A quarter-inch full depth plate is welded with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld to the beam web. A four-bolt shear tab connects the framing members.
