This structural detail shows a steel column base plate connection utilizing a two-inch thick steel plate with a yield strength of fifty KSI. The assembly is anchored with six anchor bolts and includes plate washers measuring one-half by four by four inches. Gusset plates are provided where applicable, welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld or per American Institute of Steel Construction minimum standards. The column size is determined per the column schedule, and orientation is coordinated with the structural plans.
