Slab penetrations and blockout cans must maintain a minimum distance of four inches from column corners. Cans placed directly adjacent to columns have a maximum diameter of one foot six inches or two feet three inches depending on location. Additional aligned cans are permitted in line with the primary can next to the column. Reinforcing around the cans must be installed per the corresponding structural detail.
