Front and rear doubler plates, measuring four inches by one inch by thirty inches, are centered on the slots and welded with three-eighth-inch fillet welds. Internal stiffeners and web stiffeners reinforce the structural shape. The thirty-inch vertical dimension coordinates slot clearance and equal spacing.
