Four steel-framed concrete slab edge conditions show continuous metal edge forms tied back with reinforcing bars, straps, or Z-clips. Detail A features a twelve gauge continuous edge form with two number four continuous reinforcing bars and three-quarter inch diameter field plug welds at twelve inches on center, supplemented by number three bars at sixteen inches on center where welded wire fabric is replaced with fiber meshed concrete. Detail B incorporates a fourteen gauge by one inch wide strap at thirty-maximum spacing. Detail C utilizes three-inch by fourteen gauge Z-clips welded to the edge form and edge beam at twenty-four inches on center. Detail D provides a larger overhang with an L5x5x3/8 angle at ten-foot maximum spacing aligned with the beam on the opposite side, connected with quarter-inch fillet welds on two sides.
