A hollow structural section column bears on a base plate secured by anchor bolts anchored into a concrete footing and stem wall. The foundation incorporates reinforcing steel including number four bars each side and embedded steel posts. Base plate options for standard, corner, and end conditions are shown in plan view with specific edge distances and dimensions. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld connects the column to the base plate above the concrete finish grade.
