An HSS16x4 beam frames into a wide flange girder sized per plan using a welded 1/4-inch end plate. The connection is secured with six 7/8-inch diameter A325N bolts arranged symmetrically in two vertical rows of three. The end plate measures 10 inches wide by 16-3/4 inches high with a 1-1/2 inch typical edge distance and 4-inch vertical bolt spacing.
