Two conditions for a concrete slab edge form are supported by a steel edge beam and metal deck. The assembly features a continuous 12-gauge metal edge form reinforced with two continuous number four rebars and secured with three-quarter-inch diameter field plug welds at twelve inches on center. The first condition incorporates fourteen-gauge by one-inch wide straps spaced at a maximum of thirty-six inches. The second condition utilizes three-inch by fourteen-gauge Z-clips welded to the edge form and edge beam at twenty-four inches on center, along with three number three bars at twelve inches on center. A minimum three-inch bearing is provided at the steel edge beam, sized per plan. A note requires the contractor to verify the adequacy of the edge form.
