Three-inch laminated timber decking bears on a two-by wood nailer trimmed to match the width of the supporting steel beam flange. The decking is anchored using one-half-inch diameter by two-and-three-quarter-inch long threaded studs spaced at two feet zero inches on center, complete with standard washer and nut. The timber decking is notched typically at each stud location to accommodate the fastener assembly.
