A structural steel column is welded to a base plate with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld or per American Welding Society minimum standards. The base plate features four corner anchor bolts positioned with equal spacings along the width and length as specified in the structural schedule. A four-inch diameter grout hole is centered on the base plate, sized identically to the anchor bolt hole size. Anchor bolt locations and layout dimensions are sized per plan.
