A steel beam connects to a steel column using a bolted shear tab assembly. The steel column extends upward to support a metal roof deck. A one-quarter-inch continuous bent plate ties into the assembly with a three-sixteenths weld. Metal roof decking bears across the top flange of the steel beam.
