The non-bearing slab edge condition features a thickened edge supported on prepared subgrade, reinforced with two continuous number four rebars bent into the turn-down, with a minimum depth of one foot verified against the soils report and an eight-inch minimum width. The depressed slab condition provides a transition with a variable depth depression up to twelve inches maximum, extending a minimum of one foot six inches or six times the slab thickness. Both conditions coordinate with finish grade or paving elevations and top of concrete slab elevations sized per plan.
