A stair stringer connects to a concrete pilaster using a three-eighths-inch connection plate welded to the structural steel stringer with a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld. The connection plate matches the radius of the curved concrete wall where applicable. The embedded connection plate is secured into the concrete pilaster using new three-quarter-inch diameter by eight-inch long welded head studs arranged in vertical and horizontal spacings of one and one-half inches, six inches, five inches, and eight inches.
