A steel stair stringer connects to a concrete slab on grade or finished grade with a 3x3x1/4 inch structural steel angle. The angle is secured to the thickened slab using 3/4-inch diameter by 8-inch long expansion anchor bolts at each stringer. A 3/16-inch fillet weld on three sides connects the stringer to the angle as shown. The slab on grade is thickened at the stringer per plan requirements.
