An upper wide-flange column connects to a wide-flange transfer beam via a base plate with anchor bolts. The transfer beam rests on a lower wide-flange column with a cap plate. Stiffener plates are provided on each side of the transfer beam matching the thickness of the column flange below. Additional web doubler plates are installed as required per plan, and the offset transfer dimension is specified to a maximum of three feet zero inches with a minimum three-foot six-inch extension.
