A steel beam or truss joist frames into a truss girder with three-quarter-inch by five-inch plates welded to each side of the web. The connection utilizes a one-quarter-inch fillet weld to attach the three-inch plate assembly. The framing members are sized per plan and bear onto the truss girder assembly.
