An SDWF2720 tension fastener connects the upper wall bottom plate to the lower wall top plate across the floor framing assembly. The upper wall bottom plate and lower wall top plate splices are positioned relative to the vertical fastener. One SDWF screw must be installed between four and twelve inches on each side of any upper wall bottom plate splice. A minimum one-inch clearance and four-inch minimum end distance apply at the lower connection point. Studs, floor joists, blocking, and stud-to-plate connections are omitted for clarity.
