A structural steel column connects to its base plate assembly with stiffener plates matching the column flange thickness on each side. The column flanges receive a partial-joint-penetration double-bevel weld with a three-quarter-inch size and a five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld, while the web is connected with a three-quarter-inch double-bevel weld. Anchor bolts are arranged symmetrically around the column profile with specified minimum edge distances and spacing dimensions.
